Artist Statement
I believe that art should be an extension of ourselves, and the world around us. I enjoy finding beauty and intrigue in my everyday surroundings. I’ve always felt a strong connection with nature, and enjoy taking my camera for a walk around my rustic, small town neighborhood. Here is where I find the majority of my subjects. It is amazing to me how seemingly insignificant things that we overlook everyday can create interesting photos. Beauty can be found in the tiniest leaf or the simplest curve of bark on a tree. It is my goal to capture this beauty and present it in a way that conveys a feeling of simplicity and nostalgia. I hope my photography inspires others to take the time to appreciate the beauty found in everyday life.
