About

Artist Bio

Kori Nielsen is not only an artist, but an educator as well.  She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 2005.  In high school, she exhibited her work in the Hyde Center Regional Art Show, where she was chosen by her teachers to represent her school.  Kori spent two years living in Chicago, where she helped organize community art programs for inner city children.  She also taught two-year-olds at a day care center.  As a teacher, her passion is to provide her young students with a creative and fun learning environment.

Kori is currently studying art education at University of Wisconsin Stout.  While her main focus is teaching, she holds a strong passion for art and continues to grow and develop as an artist.  Creating mostly two-dimensional work, she works with a variety of mediums, such as graphite, ink, charcoal, pastels, acrylic and oil paints.  Her most recent artistic adventure is photography, which she continues to explore.  She hopes to discover new and intriguing ways to represent herself and the world around her.
